We provide structural engineering design for solar panel racking systems across Australia and New Zealand, working with major industry clients on both small- and large-scale projects up to 100MW. Our Services:
- Ground-Mount Solar Framing Design – Structural design for fixed-tilt and tracker-based solar racking systems, including foundation design and geotechnical engineering support including corrosion calculations where required. We develop 2D structural models and, where necessary, provide 3D models for complex ground-mount structures.
- Roof-Mount Solar Racking Design – Structural assessment of existing buildings, load evaluation, and optimized racking design for secure rooftop installations. We use the latest software, including CheckWind, and reference SEAOC PV2 and ASCE 7 standards for wind load optimization.
- Building & Load Assessments – Analysis of roof structures for solar panel and palletized loading, ensuring safe and effective mounting solutions.
- Advanced Cold-Formed Steel Design – Our ground-mount designs incorporate custom-sized cold-formed steel sections, analyzed using cutting-edge software like ColdSteel (University of Sydney) and CUFSM.
- Engineering Sign-Off & Compliance – We provide structural design certification including PS1 forms in NZ and Form 15, Form 126, Section 40, and other statutory design forms in Australia as required.
- Calculation Reports & Peer Reviews – We prepare calculation reports for projects and participate in peer reviews when required by clients.
